About Us

Hi there! I'm Katie Lathem. I am a wife and mother living in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. I earned a Business Management degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in 2006 and have since earned certifications in Interior Design and Home Staging. I am currently redesigning my 1920's Colonial and have shared my passion with neighbors, helping to bring their unique spaces to life. Having lived in tiny apartments in Manhattan for over 12 years, I also have a knack for making the most of small spaces. My goal is to create functional spaces without sacrificing design. After helping family, friends and neighbors create spaces they love, I decided to create Hummingbird Home Design. I hope my creativity and enthusiasm can help you live a more organized and peaceful life.
